If it is a used Columbia pack at 1.8k what your friend is saying seems to be true. If your friend is an outdoors apparel sales guy, that's dubious. The authenticity of products can easily be determined just by the look of it even on photos. It's easy to tell that those chubby marked down Salomon shoes for sale on fb are not authentic because I am familiar with the sleek design of the Salomon Speedcross. I've already bought three pairs of it. I guess what I am saying here is you need to be familiar with the qualities of the original product so you can tell which one's fake. But you can take a shortcut to familiarity. You can go to any Columbia outlet and feel the fabric of their bags, check the zippers and linings. These little details usually betray the fake ones. Columbia is known for their really seamless finish on their products. Oh by the way, get the model name of the pack. Titanium is a series. it applies to Columbia packs, shirts, jackets etc. One reason why bogus sales people drop this word 'Titanium' is to make it sound believable. But if the sales person cannot or doesn't give you the model/make of the product, then he either doesn't know the model or his product doesn't belong to the line of the brand. When you've gotten the model name, you can check the original one at the shop or you can check it online. Sometimes, there are models that are not released in the Philippine market.LAGATAWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00222594947377742011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3188854118393159084.post-74533490652348482402015-03-10T18:28:16.074-07:002015-03-10T18:28:16.074-07:00Hi sir! But once the major climb is over, the extra bulk of the 40L could be inconveniently unnecessary. I highly recommend a 30L pack for you. But I am a little worried about the airflow label. This usually means there is a gap between your pack and the bag to allow air to cool your back. This is comfortable, yeah. But it compromises the ease of stowing or taking out your stuff. The body of the pack becomes uneven and is no longer cylindrical. I hope you could find another 30L pack that has an even cylinder. With a minimalist approach a 30L pack is all you'll be needing in most climbs in the country.LAGATAWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00222594947377742011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3188854118393159084.post-8239738131025002352015-03-02T06:04:41.463-08:002015-03-02T06:04:41.463-08:00Hi. I just read your article and I found it very informative and helpful indeed, so thank you for writing this. :) I would just like to ask for your opinion on which bag a female who has a small build (5 flat and quite thin) like me should buy. I'm currently choosing between the traverse 40 and the Airflow 30 from Conquer. If I were to embark on a Major climb, which bag do you think would be more suited for me to use? :) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3188854118393159084.post-14496453047226920712014-12-06T14:21:33.666-08:002014-12-06T14:21:33.666-08:00how about those of us that started climbing back i...how about those of us that started climbing back in the early 90's that are using the old tower packs?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3188854118393159084.post-57896478186478612102014-10-21T01:30:57.461-07:002014-10-21T01:30:57.461-07:00Sir.
